Sourdough Starter Mix

 

This is an old recipe for sourdough starter mix. Once made its easy to keep up by adding after use. Store in the fridge once complete.

Sourdough Starter Recipe

2 Cups Flour

1 Package active dry yeast

1 Tablespoon sugar

2 Cups warm water

Mix in a bowl the flour yeast and sugar, make sure it is a nonmetal bowl.

Stir in the water.

Cover and let stand in a warm place for 48 hours.

It will bubble and expand, make sure the bowl is large.

To use , stir it well prior to using,  take out the required amounts and use as directed.

Add 1 Cup of flour and 1 Cup of warm water after using.

Mix till smooth, let it stand until bubbly, then refrigerate again until next use.
