Recipe for Sourdough Starter


This is an old recipe for Sourdough Starter mix.


2 Cups Flour

1 Package active dry yeast

1 Tablespoon sugar

2 Cups warm water

Cooking Instructions

Mix in a bowl the flour yeast and sugar, make sure it is a nonmetal bowl.

Stir in the water.

Cover and let stand in a warm place for 48 hours.

It will bubble and expand, make sure the bowl is large.

To use , stir it well prior to using,  take out the required amounts and use as directed.

Add 1 Cup of flour and 1 Cup of warm water after using.

Mix till smooth, let it stand until bubbly, then refrigerate again until next use.
